Maximum Comfort

Newmains has 15 ‘state-of-the-art kennels (accommodating a total of 30 greyhounds) – all of which are heated and have raised bedding, giving the dogs maximum comfort. Sonia is dedicated to helping the dogs with both socialising and integration with a wide range of other domestic pets. The dogs also enjoy the adjacent ‘galloping fields that allows them to play and learn to share: this is extremely important for the greyhounds’ future welfare and re-homing.

Introduce The Greyhounds To A Home Environment

Each re-homing centre has recreated a ‘home environment’ i.e. TV, washing machine etc...this helps the dogs to familiarise themselves with potential homes. It also allows any prospective new owners to see the greyhounds in a home situation.. Alison applies her expertise towards helping the dogs to becoming ‘Cat Friendly’.

We at William Hill are very aware of the need for this type of facility and will give every support to the success of this scheme.

The criteria required for placing a dog in both Newmains and Hollin Hall is as follows and the final decision for acceptance will be left to the discretion of both Sonia and Alison.

• Each new dog must be neutered prior to entering either centre.
• Up-to-date vaccination certificates.
• A signed transfer of ownership form (NGRC) will be required in accordance with Rule 118 of the rules of racing.
